Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
To keep your holiday parties healthy, you might be
interested in some of the dishes that you can
consider. Think of our potlucks. Here are some
of the dishes that have been great at our potlucks.
-Wild Rice with long grain rice and mushrooms
-Tofu Nuggets (as you all learned)
hint - you can try cutting them thinner like
small turkey strips.
-Gandule Rice
-Brown Rice with Chestnuts
-Brown Rice with azuki beans (a japanese traditional)
-Brown Rice with edamame (soybeans)
-Tofurkey (down to earth)
-nofat brown gravy
-stovetop stuffing (flavored with vegetable broth)
-Soba Salad
-Pasta Primavera (vegetarian spaghetti)
-Summer Roll (with peanut sauce or plum sauce and or chili sauce)
-7 Layer taco dip - corn tortillas, nonfat refried beans,
lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, onions, olives, salsa, and optional
tofu "sour cream" (blenderized soft tofu flavored to taste with
onion powder, spike, etc.
-Super Salsa (black beans, corn, salsa, avocado, Chili)
-Sweet Potato
-Yams
-Kabocha flavored with miso
-corn on the cob
-veggie chili (with meat substitute if desired)
-setan stew
-mashed potatoes
-jai
-stuffed squash
I could go on an on.
